St Francis Leprosy Guild (SFLG) is a UK-based, charity that is working towards a leprosy-free world.
We care for people who have been marginalised by leprosy and whose disabilities have robbed them of their livelihoods. Through compassion and practical support, we help people with leprosy to sustain life for themselves and their families and we restore hope. By supporting over 40 leprosy centres and projects around the world, we play our part in caring for those affected by the disease and work towards ending leprosy once and for all. |
We fund research projects, hospitals, rehabilitation centres and an Active Case-Finding programme to diagnose leprosy before it causes disability.
These centres and projects are making an important contribution to finding, diagnosing, treating and monitoring people with leprosy. In this way, we can stop the disease in its tracks and prevent more avoidable suffering.
We believe that a leprosy-free world is finally within sight; if not today, then soon. We are determined to build on our 128-year legacy, working to end the suffering caused by leprosy.
