‘I have returned from my four-week elective placement at Green Pastures Hospital, Pokhara, and I am feeling very grateful for the educational opportunities it provided. During the placement, I shadowed various healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with leprosy, as well as in the fields of rehabilitation and palliative care. This experience encouraged me to reflect on the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in the care of patients, whilst learning about a condition I have not previously encountered. I now hope to incorporate this holistic approach as I start my clinical practice in August.’ |
