Appointed in 2020, Clare McIntosh is Chief Executive Officer of St Francis Leprosy Guild (“SFLG”). She is responsible for SFLG’s strategic direction and implementation of all initiatives including fundraising, programme development, communications, and the charity’s day-to-day management.
Clare is a dynamic Marketing Director with an accomplished industry track record. In parallel to her business career, Clare has an equally impressive track record in altruistic charitable activities. |
From 2015 to-date, she was founder and is Chair of the charity Chattertots which delivers early intervention to children with Down Syndrome. She was recently Corporate Fundraiser for the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice. From 2014 to 2018, she was Governor for Special Educational Needs and Inclusion for Waltham St Lawrence Primary School. Between 2016 and 2019, Clare was part of the social movement, Wouldn’t Change A Thing which conducted digital campaigns receiving up to 450 million views.
Prior to joining the not-for-profit sector, from 2016 to 2020, Clare worked for O2 as Head of Commercial Networks and Head of Acquisition and Retention.
Prior to 2020 and for a significant part of her career, Clare worked for British Gas. From 2010 to 2013, she was Head of Multi-Product Propositions. From 2009 to 2010, she was Head of Commercial. From 2007 to 2008, she was Head of Marketing, Central Heating Installations. From 2005 to 2007, she was Director of Sales and Marketing Planning. From 2004 to 2005, she was Director of Sales and Marketing, Small Commercial Businesses based in Texas. From 2002 to 2004, she was Marketing Manager for Customer Retention. From 2001 to 2002, she was Marketing Manager for Electrical Services.
Prior to joining British Gas, in 2000/1, Clare was Head of Business Development at Moneygator Ltd. From 1998 to 2000, she was Strategy Consultant at Valoris (then Abram Hawkes plc). Clare started her career as a consultant for Edgar, Dunn & Company in 1996 to 1998.
Clare has an MA in theology from Oxford University, an Advanced Certificate in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Finance Certificate for Cranfield Business School and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Fundraising.
Clare is married and lives in Berkshire with her husband and three children. In her spare time enjoys being with her family, cooking and walking their dog.
